ITAC 2017 CHALLENGE 2

Hoy os traigo el reto 2 del ITAC 2017, la semana pasada os explicaba que durante 6 semanas os enseñaré proyectos para este concurso, es a nivel mundial por lo que la temática irá cambiando cada semana según el continente que toque.

Esta semana le ha tocado a ASIA y nos proponen inspirarnos en estas imágenes, aparte de los siguientes requisitos: 

-Motivos inspirados en mandalas

-Formas geométricas

-Baldosas cerámicas, pantiles, baldosas o sus diseños

-Flores asiáticas, como flor de cerezo, crisantemo, orquídeas, loto, frangipani, lirios, hibiscos, etc.

-Caligrafía

-Tejido

-Pigmentos en polvo

Today I bring you the challenge 2 of ITAC 2017, last week I explained that for 6 weeks I will show you projects for this contest, it is worldwide so the them will change every week according to the continent that touches. This week has touched ASIA and we intend to take inspiration from these images, apart from the following requirements:

-Mandala inspired motifs

-Geometric forms

-Balteries, ceramics, pantiles, tiles or their designs

-Asian flowes such as cherry blossom, chrysanthemum, orhids, lotus, frangipani, lilies, hibiscus, etc

-Calligraphy

-Tissue

-Pigments in powder

Al principio cuando leí los requisitos y vi la imagen no tenía muy claro como iba a enfocar este reto, porque no tengo mucho material en casa que sea de temática asiática, pero al ver la imagen de la Catedral de San Basilio en Moscú, pensé automáticamente en mi hija mayor, su mejor amigo para su cumpleaños le regaló un puzzle 3D de esta catedral, y cómo en el anterior reto utilicé una foto de mi hija pequeña, en este tenía que utilizar una foto suya.

Le he hecho una foto con su puzzle  y me he puesto manos a la obra para crear otro layout, esta vez con inspiración asiática.

He buscado en todos los papeles que tengo y me he llevado una alegría, tengo varias cosas que me pueden servir para esta temática, así que ha sido una gran sorpresa, que me ha facilitado bastante el trabajo.

He utilizado para la base un papel de Webster page con muchos pigmentos de colores y flores, uno de los requisitos. Después con otro papel de Webster page con dibujos de mandalas he recortado tres cuadrados de 8x8cm, he entintado un poco los bordes con tinta distress y los he pegado separados como si fueran baldosas, otro de los requisitos utilizando también además el requisito de las formas geométricas.

He encontrado un papel vegetal de webster page con varios motivos entre ellos estaban los farolillos chinos de la imagen, así que he recortado ese trozo para ponerlo en mi layout. También he utilizado en las diferentes capas superpuestas de papel, un papel vegetal con mandalas en tonos dorados.

Para los adornos he utilizado varios troqueles de la big shot uno para las hojas y otro para las flores que he colocado y un troquel con círculos que he puesto debajo de la foto y con los círculos del interior he decorado un poco el fondo del layout, pegándolos de forma aleatoria.

En el lateral he recortado una frase en inglés y la he pegado, y para utilizar el requisito de tejido he incluido una puntilla entintada en tono rosa con tinta en spray y la he colocado en el lateral de la foto.

He salpicado todo el fondo con tinta en dorado y blanca de Carrotcake by Vallejo y en la esquina inferior izquierda he estampado un sello de una flor asiática y lo he coloreado, también he escrito en japonés el nombre de mi hija (Cristina), ya que lo tenía gracias a unas amigas estupendas que trajeron a una japonesa a nuestras quedadas escraperas y tubo la gentileza de escribir nuestros nombres en japonés para saciar nuestra curiosidad, cumpliendo así otro requisito, caligrafía.

Toda la composición está pegada con volumen creando diferentes capas.

A first when I read the requirements and saw the image I was not very clear how I would approach this challenge, because I do not have much material in the house that is Asian-themed, but seeing the image of St. Basils Cathedral in Moscow, I thought automatically in my eldest daughter, her best friend for her birthay gave her a 3D puzzle of this cathedral, and how in the previous challenge I used a photo of my little daughter, in this she had to use a photo of her. I made a photo with his puzzle and I got to work to create another layour, this time with Asian inspiration.

I have searched all the papers that I have and I have taken a joy, I have several things that can serve me for this subject, so it has been a great surprise, which has made the job quite easy.

I used for the base a Webster page paper with many colored pigments and flowers, one of the requirements. Then with another paper Webster page with drawings of mandalas I cut three squares of 8x8 cm,  I have inked the edges a bit with distress ink and I have pasted them apart as if they were tiles, another requirement also using the requirement of geometric shapes.

I found a Webster plant paper with various motifs among them were the Chinese image lanterns, so I cut that bit to put it in my layout. I have also used in the different overlapping layers of paper, a vegetable paper with mandalas in golden tones.

For the ornaments I have used several dies of the big shot one for the leaves and another for the flowers that I have placed and a punch with circles that I have put under the photo and with the circles of the interior I have decorated a littel de bottom of the layout, Sticking them randomly.

On the side I have cut a sentence in English and I have pasted it, and to use the weaving requirement I have included a pink ink inked sprig with spray paint and placed it on the side of the photo.

I have splashed all the background with gold and white ink of Carrotcake by Vallejo and in the lower left corner I have stamped a stamp of an Asian flower and I have colored it, I have also written in Japanese the name of my daughter (Cristina), since I had it thanks to some great friends who brought a Japanese woman to our escapes and we were kind enough to write our names in Japanese to satisfy our curiosity, fulfilling another requirement, calligraphy.

The entire composition is glued with volume creating different layers. I leave you some photos of the different parts of the layour so that you can see it in more detail.
